Tamil Nadu CM C. Joseph Vijay Met With Prime Minister Narendra Modi


New Delhi, May 28 — AIMA Media Update News: As part of his maiden official visit to Delhi, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Sevateerth yesterday, Wednesday. The two leaders held a meeting that lasted for 25 minutes. Vijay expressed his gratitude to Modi for facilitating the repatriation of copper inscriptions dating back to the Chola era from Poland to India. Vijay also drew the Prime Minister's attention to the Mekedatu Dam project announced by Karnataka and its potential impact on downstream regions. Furthermore, he requested permission to have the State Anthem sung at the beginning of official government programs.

Subsequently, upon arriving directly at Tamil Nadu House, Vijay received a warm welcome, complete with a Guard of Honour. This marks Vijay's first visit to Delhi since assuming office as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

As part of his tour, Vijay is also scheduled to meet with Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, Union Minister Amit Shah, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today. He is also set to meet with senior Congress leaders—Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge—at 10 Janpath. In anticipation of Vijay's meeting, posters featuring Rahul and Vijay have appeared outside Janpath.
