Bidar Agriculture Minister Supports New Agricultural College Demand
Bidar: Agriculture Minister N. Chaluvaraya Swamy has responded positively to the demand for starting an agricultural degree college in Bidar from the current academic year, according to Siddramaiah Swamy, district unit president of Karnataka Pradesh Krishika Samaj. The minister acknowledged the need for the college during the recent Karnataka Pradesh Krishika Samaj State Executive Committee meeting held in Bengaluru.
Siddramaiah Swamy highlighted the existing agricultural diploma courses and emphasized the benefits an agricultural college would provide to farmer children. Concerns were also raised about the sudden increase in land register printing fees to Rs. 35, which the farmers believe should be fixed at Rs. 5. The delegation stressed the importance of ensuring an adequate supply of quality soybean seeds and fertilizers in Bidar, the state's leading soybean-growing district. Minister Chaluvaraya Swamy assured that necessary actions would be taken. Vishwanath Patil, state representative of Karnataka Pradesh Krishi Samaj, was also present.
