Mahilpur Police Arrest Motorcycle Theft Gang, Recover Seven Bikes and a Scooty
Hoshiarpur/ May 18 /Daljeet Ajnoha Acting on directions from the state government and under intensified drive against antisocial elements, Mahilpur police have arrested a group suspected of stealing motorcycles and recovered seven motorcycles and one scooter.
Senior police officers, including SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik , DSP Daljit Singh Khakh, directed the operation. Following orders from SHO Inspector Ramandeep Kaur, ASI Rachpal Singh and his party were on duty near village Tutomazara when they received a tip-off about suspects riding two separate motorcycles in the area.
The police identified and arrested the suspects Sahil alias Shallu, son of Vikramjeet; Vivek alias Babbu, son of Manoj Kumar; Vansh Kumar, son of Manoj Kumar, all residents of village Billron; and Harinder Suman alias Inder, son of Nirmal Das of Ward No. 13, Jorra Mohalla, Garhshankar. Based on the information, officers detained them and recovered seven stolen motorcycles and one scooter from their possession.
Inspector Ramandeep Kaur said the arrested persons are being interrogated and further probing is underway to gather more information about the thefts and any wider criminal network.
