Akali Dal to Contest All Wards in Banga Municipal Elections: Rajinder Singh Chandi
Phagwara /Daljeet Ajnoha/May 15
Rajinder Singh Chandi, Rural Area In-charge of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) for Phagwara, conducted a special tour of the Banga constituency ahead of the upcoming municipal corporation elections. On the occasion, he was accompanied by Dharmainder Kumar Tony, State General Secretary of the partys Trade and Industry wing; Avtar Singh Mangi and Surinderpal Singh (Phagwara); Jatinder Singh Mann (Banga); and Iqbal Singh Bajwa (Banga).
Former MLA Mohan Lal Banga and SAD Banga city president Jaswinder Singh Mann welcomed Chandi by draping him with a siropa. During the visit, Chandi held detailed discussions on municipal polls and finalised strategies to strengthen the party down to the booth level.
Chandi charged that the current Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab had failed on all fronts and said public support was shifting to the pro-people policies of the Akali Dal. He asserted that the Akali Dal would work wholeheartedly for Bangas development and live up to public expectations.
He urged party workers to go door-to-door to inform residents about welfare measures implemented during Akali Dal rule and to publicise the partys policies. Responsibilities were assigned to activists, and participants discussed intensifying election campaigning, forming booth-level teams, and delegating tasks.
Leaders appealed to all workers to spare no effort to ensure SADs victory in the upcoming municipal corporation elections. They said there was great enthusiasm among party workers and leaders in the Banga constituency, and that the party would contest the municipal elections in full strength across all wards with unity and determination.
The leaders added that public trust in the Akali Dal was steadily rising because of the partys policies and welfare initiatives. Activists are contacting residents in every ward, working day and night to strengthen the party, and have been urged to work together to deliver the partys message to voters in every ward.
