**Sant Baba Hari Singh Sporting Club Kaharapur launches 7-a-side village open football tournament

The Sant Baba Hari Singh Sporting Club, Kaharapur, in collaboration with the village panchayat and Non-Resident Indians, on Friday launched the third/fifth edition of the village open 7-a-side football tournament under the leadership and supervision of President Harmanjot Singh Khabra. The tournament was inaugurated by club chairman Sant Sadhu Singh Nirmal Kutia Kaharapur , with managers and local officials including Inderjit Singh Bharta, Varinder Sharma, Harnandan Singh Khabra, Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh, Principal Shibu Mathio K., and Sarpanch Harnek Singh presiding jointly. Twenty-four teams are competing; in the opening matches village Chandeli beat village Ghumiala 3-2, while Bahowal defeated Chakkmalla 1-0. Dignitaries, coaches, village residents and football fans were present at the event.
