Thirteen day blood donation camp 561 units of blood collected
The Thirteen-day blood donation camp, organized by the Nistha family and the Art of Living family on the occasion of the 70th birthday of Revered Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji to partially overcome the shortage of blood in all blood banks due to the intense heat wave, concluded today with great fanfare. On the last day of the camp, despite heavy rain, a voluntary blood donation camp and a grand satsang were held at Swayam Siddha Bhawan in Bargarh. The chief guests were Bijepur MLA Sanat Gadatia, Bhatli MLA Irasis Acharya, Bargarh MLA Ashwani Sadangi, Attabira MLA Nihar Ranjan Mahanand, who formally inaugurated the camp by cutting the ribbon. A total of 75 units of blood were collected from today's camp by Burla Blood Bank. Despite the heavy rain, the enthusiasm of the blood donors did not diminish. Everyone stood in long lines and donated blood voluntarily. A total of 561 units of blood were collected from Burla and Bargarh Blood Banks during this thirteen-day blood donation campaign. The Art of Living family was honored by presenting a commemorative plaque to the Nishtha family for organizing blood donation camps at various places for thirteen days. Similarly, the Nishtha family was also honored by presenting a commemorative plaque to the Nishtha family for their outstanding contribution to social service.
