'Mangamaya' Kannada movie set for release on May 15 in Mysuru

Mysuru: Kannada film Mangamaya, produced by Brothers Entertainment of Puttur, is scheduled to release across Mysuru on May 15, director Prasad Puttur announced. The film, described as a low-budget realistic thriller, has a runtime of 127 minutes and was completed in 43 days of shooting.

Prasad Puttur explained that the story is inspired by real-life incidents and takes place over a single day. It follows a young man struggling to find employment during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic who eventually becomes a room boy at a lodge. During the second wave, a mysterious bag containing black money arrives but goes missing, triggering a suspenseful series of events. Prasanna Puttur, Mohammed Naveed, and Mohammed Hanif Hootagalli were present at the press conference.
