Builders Association to Organise Month-Long World Environment Day Events from June 5

Mysuru, May 13: The Mysuru chapter of the Builders Association of India will organise a series of programmes across the city from June 5 to June 30 as part of World Environment Day celebrations. Speaking at a press conference at the Journalists Hall, organising committee chairman C.D. Krishna said the month-long initiative aims to create awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable living through public participation activities.

The celebrations will begin on June 5 at 5 pm at the MBCT Hall, where Forest Department official Dr. Ramesh will inaugurate the programme. As part of the campaign, a Green Mysuru Walkathon will also be held on the opening day. On June 13, saplings will be planted at several locations in and around Mysuru, while a cyclothon and a painting competition for school children are scheduled for June 14. Various awareness and community-driven events will continue at different venues across the city until June 30. The valedictory ceremony is scheduled to take place at 5 pm on June 30 at the MBCT Hall. GSS Institutions chief Srihari, S. Vasudevan, K.R. Prabhakar Rao, and Raghunandan were present during the press conference.
