LG Manoj Sinha to Lead Anti-Drug Padyatra in Anantnag

Anantnag: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will lead a major anti-drug padyatra under the "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan" campaign in Anantnag district on Saturday as part of the 100-Day Nasha Mukt J&K Campaign. The rally will start from Government Degree College (GDC) Khanabal and conclude at New Basti, SBI Chowk, with thousands expected to participate in the awareness drive against drug abuse.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat highlighted that the padyatra has become a people’s movement addressing the growing menace of drug addiction. Preparations for the event have involved administration officials, police, and various social organizations. The DC urged residents to reach the starting point by 7:30 am, noting the LG will join and lead the rally at approximately 10:30 am. Traffic restrictions will be in place from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm on key routes, with alternative routes advised for commuters.
