Nagpur Councillor Wasim Khan Opposes Encroachment Removal in Mominpura

Nagpur: Congress councillor Wasim Khan opposed the Nagpur Municipal Corporation's (NMC) encroachment removal operation in the Mominpura area near Hafiz Bakery. During the operation, small shops were being removed, which affected the livelihoods of poor families and street vendors dependent on these businesses.

Wasim Khan, councillor of Ward 8, stated that while development is necessary, it should not come at the cost of depriving poor people of their jobs. He raised his voice in support of the local community. A video of his protest against the operation went viral on social media.
