Haryana Increases Honorarium for Guest Teachers

Chandigarh: The Haryana government has announced an increase in the honorarium for guest teachers working in government schools across the state. The Education Department has issued official orders to raise the honorarium for both JBT and PGT guest teachers. This increase will be implemented in two phases.

The first phase, effective from January 1, 2025, includes a 2% increase on the base rate. For JBTs, the honorarium will rise by ₹520 from ₹26,000 to ₹35,920, while for PGTs, it will increase by ₹720 from ₹36,000 to ₹48,320. The second phase, effective from July 1, 2025, will add a further 3% increase on the base rate, raising JBT honorarium by ₹780 to ₹36,700 and PGT honorarium by ₹1,080 to ₹49,400.
