Kolkata: Investigation Underway in Chandranath Rath Murder Case

Kolkata: Police have identified a motorbike with a false number plate near Two and Half No Gate, close to Kolkata Airport, in connection with the murder of Chandranath Rath, associated secretary to former opposition leader Shubhendu Adhikari. The Central Investigation Team is now working alongside the State SIT group to probe the case. Authorities suspect the involvement of a 'supari killer,' who remains untraced. Forensic examinations are ongoing, and investigators believe the mastermind behind the incident may be located outside India.

In related developments, the seventeenth state government has reportedly been dissolved, and control of the election commission in the state has been disrupted, according to statements from Lokbhaban. The investigation into Rath's murder continues amid these political changes.
