K. Singpur: Following allegations of financial misappropriation at K. Singpur Lamps, district officials conducted two inquiries. The officer reported withdrawals and deposits totaling around 1 crore rupees multiple times from farmers' accounts. After the Krushak Sangh demanded an inquiry, the district collector ordered a formal investigation.

Most allegations involve K. Singpur Lamps MD Tarini Tripathy, accused of misusing his power in the seeds, fertilizer, and paddy mandi sectors, and allegedly supporting a local don named Miller in the K. Singpur block. Officials stated that after the full inquiry, the district administration will take appropriate action. Farmers have protested multiple times against the MD, though some black marketers are reportedly protecting him. Farmers have requested the Enforcement Directorate to investigate the mill owner, and they have expressed congratulations to the district administration and the BJP government for their efforts.
