DK Shivakumar Dismisses Exit Polls, Claims Congress Poised to Form Government in Assam
Speaking at a press conference in Guwahati, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar expressed confidence in Congress’s prospects in Assam, asserting that the party’s internal assessments point to a clear victory. Rejecting media exit polls, he argued that a “sense of fear” among voters may have influenced their public responses, emphasising that voting remains confidential. Shivakumar said party leaders and candidates are united and optimistic about forming the government independently.
