*Most wanted Narco peddler Rayees Turray Arrested by Anantnag Police*

Anantnag Police has arrested Rayees Ahmad Turrey S/O Mohd Yousuf Turrey R/O Kha Bazar Janglatmandi, a notorious drug peddler, who had fled from the spot during naka checking conducted on 22.04.2026 at Ashajipora Bypass near Municipal Parking.
During the naka checking, three persons travelling in a Hyundai Verna attempted to flee. Two persons namely Fardin Khan @ Sameer Khan resident of Qazi Mohallah Anantnag and Numaan Riyaz Khan resident of Lazibal Anantnag were apprehended on the spot and were found in possession of contraband substance, while Rayees Ahmad Turrey managed to escape. FIR No. 114/2026 under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation was taken up.
After sustained efforts, police succeeded in apprehending the absconding accused. Further investigation in the case is going on.
