Pulwama, Apr 28: Pulwama Police on Tuesday issued an advisory after misleading and unverified content related to an alleged sexual assault incident in an educational institution began circulating on social media.
According to officials, the matter is currently under detailed examination, and all required verifications are being carried out as per established legal procedures.
Police appealed to the public not to share, forward, or engage with rumours and unconfirmed claims, saying such content can create panic, mislead people, and disturb public order.
The advisory further warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found involved in creating or spreading false and misleading information online.
