Hoshiarpur Civil Surgeon Reviews Health Programmes with Senior Medical Officers

Civil Surgeon Dr. Mandeep Kamal on Monday held the monthly meeting with senior medical officers and programme officers from various health institutions in the district, during which key health services, public health programmes and maternal and child health issues were discussed in detail.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the care of pregnant women, safe deliveries, immunisation, children’s nutritional status, the Chief Minister’s Health Scheme, the AIDS control programme, the 100-day TB campaign, the upcoming dengue season and other ongoing health initiatives.
The Civil Surgeon issued clear directions to all officers and staff to achieve the assigned targets on time and with full responsibility, while also ensuring the quality and accessibility of health services at every level.
A review was also conducted of the work carried out under various health programmes over the past period, and the future course of action was outlined. The meeting further reviewed the anti-drug campaign, the functioning of Aam Aadmi Clinics and the TB-free India campaign.
Dr. Kamal instructed that medical and paramedical teams of the health department should remain prepared to deal with any situation. She also asked for proper maintenance and improvement of record-keeping in all health institutions.
She said that government health facilities should reach every section of society, and that more Chief Minister Health Scheme cards should be made at every Aam Aadmi Clinic with the support of VLEs. She also directed that awareness activities under the weekly Dengue War campaign be ensured every Friday.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr. T.P. Singh, District Immunisation Officer Dr. Seema Garg, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Ranjit Singh, District TB Officer Dr. Shakti Sharma, Epidemiologist Dr. Jagdeep Singh, District Programme Officer Mohammad Asif, Disha Programme representative Ms. Laxmi, District Mass Media Officer Tarsem Lal, Deputy Mass Media Officer Ravinder Jassal, and senior medical officers from various blocks.
