*Udhampur Police Attaches another Property Worth ₹10 Lakhs of Drug Peddler Shahbaz Gulzar of Anantnag*

Udhampur, April 20:

Udhampur Police continued its commitment to the *Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir campaign*. The department emphasized intensified action against drug peddling along with sustained awareness efforts to protect the youth from substance abuse.

Udhampur Police has attached a movable property worth *₹10 lakhs* belonging to drug peddler *Shahbaz Gulzar Khan S/O Gulzar Ahmed Khan R/O Devipora, near Masjid Sharief, Tehsil Mattan, District Anantnag* under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.

The attached property includes a *Baleno Sigma Taxi Car (bearing regd. No. JK03P-7083)* which was found to have been purchased from the proceeds of illicit narcotics trade. The attachment has been carried out in connection with *FIR No. 22/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of Police Station Chenani.*

During investigation, it was established that the accused had acquired the said vehicle through money earned from drug trafficking. Accordingly, the vehicle has been seized and attached under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act for further legal proceedings.

Further investigation is underway.
