Joint Inspection Drive on Medical Shops; One Shop Sealed by Executive Magistrate for Violations #Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan

As part of the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan”, Police Station Mendhar, in coordination with the Drug Control Officer and Executive Magistrate, conducted a joint inspection of medical shops in the Sangala and Ari areas to ensure compliance with prescribed norms governing the sale of medicines.

During the drive, the following establishments were inspected:
• Ashwani Medical Shop, Sangala
• Shafiq Medical Hall, Sangala
• M/s Wajid Medicos, Ari
The inspection focused on adherence to regulatory provisions, including maintenance of sale records, computerized billing, and proper functioning of CCTV surveillance systems.

Upon inspection, M/s Wajid Medicos (Druggist & Chemist), Ari was found violating the prescribed norms issued by the competent regulatory authority. Consequently, the establishment was sealed on the spot by the Executive Magistrate, in the presence of the Drug Control Officer.

District Police Poonch reiterates its commitment to supporting regulatory enforcement and preventing misuse of pharmaceutical drugs. The public is urged to cooperate and report any suspicious or illegal activities related to the sale of medicines.
