Justice Shekhar Yadav of Allahabad HC to retire on April 15

PRAYAGRAJ: (Apr 15) Allahabad High Court Judge Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav, who purportedly made controversial remarks at a VHP event, will retire on April 15 (Wednesday).

An impeachment motion against him is pending in the Rajya Sabha over his remarks against Muslims during a Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) event, which sparked nationwide outrage.

Justice Yadav was appointed as an additional judge of the Allahabad High Court on December 12, 2019 and was made a permanent judge on March 26, 2021.
