Drug addict kills father in Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh

PITHORAGARH: (Apr 13) A 28-year-old drug addict allegedly killed his father by attacking him with an iron rod following a minor dispute here, police said on Sunday.

The incident took place late Saturday in Puran village. The accused, identified as Gaurav Kumar, has been arrested, they said.

According to a police officer, the victim -- Bishan Ram, 50, -- was left critically injured in the attack and taken to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries. PTI DPT RHL
