Grand Kalsh Yatra Concludes, Paving Way for Srimad Bhagvat Katha; Messages on Drug De-addiction and Women Empowerment Delivered
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/April 11
Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan, Hoshiarpur, organized a grand and divine Kalsh Yatra ahead of the upcoming Srimad Bhagvat Katha at Roshan Ground. The procession marked the launch of the seven-day Katha, scheduled from April 14 to 20, with sessions daily from 7 PM to 10 PM. The discourse will be delivered by Bhagwat Bhaskar Sadhvi Vaishnavi Bharti Ji, a disciple of revered Guru Dev Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.
The Yatra commenced with Vedic chants and ritualistic worship led by Pandit Indresh Sharma Ji. Prominent attendees included Swami Sajjananand Ji, Sadhvi Shankarpreeta Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Rajwant Bharti Ji, and other esteemed saints.
Swami Sajjananand Ji stated that the procession aimed to invoke prosperity, peace, and well-being for the city while spreading spiritual awareness, alongside messages on drug de-addiction and moral awakening.
Following the rituals, the Yatra began with the breaking of a coconut and hoisting of flags. Starting from Roshan Ground, it traversed the city's main thoroughfares. Leading the procession was an eye-catching chariot of Lord Krishna, drawing crowds of devotees. Women in yellow sarees, carrying kalash on their heads, infused the atmosphere with divine splendor.
The rhythmic beats of bands filled the air with devotion. Special tableaux during the Yatra raised social awareness: young girls' balance-themed display promoted women empowerment, self-reliance, and vigilance, while others highlighted the ill effects of drugs, urging youth to embrace a substance-free life.
Devotees along the route enjoyed arranged prasad and refreshments. Sansthan volunteers meticulously maintained cleanliness and order, earning widespread appreciation.
The Yatra's grandeur drew residents spontaneously joining from their homes. It culminated with the ceremonial installation of the Srimad Bhagavat Mahapurana at the Katha venue, followed by a community langar.
This event beautifully blended faith, devotion, social unity, anti-drug awareness, and women empowerment.
