Annual Sports Meet Held at Khalsa College Domeli

The annual sports meet at Sant Baba Dalip Singh Memorial Khalsa College Domeli, an educational institution under the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, was successfully organised under the leadership of sports meet coordinator Prof. Damanjeet Kaur. Prof. Kamaljeet Kaur from the Punjabi Department served as the chief guest.
Students enthusiastically participated in a variety of events, including relay race, three-legged race, ant race, sack race, rope climbing, sitting march, tug-of-war, lemon-spoon race, 100-metre dash, slow cycling, stick pulling, gulli danda, and shot put. The meet began with an oath-taking ceremony, featuring separate competitions for boys and girls.
Winners received gold, silver, and bronze medals. Tarun Sidhu was awarded the Best Male Athlete trophy, while Kiranpreet Kaur clinched the Best Female Athlete trophy. The boys' and girls' tug-of-war teams were honoured with special trophies.
Principal Dr. Gurnam Singh Rasulpur emphasised the importance of sports, stating, "Sports are essential for human life, keeping the body fit and the soul pure." Prof. Amarpal Kaur expressed gratitude to the participating students, noting that such events provide entertainment while fostering a love for sports. Prof. Damanjeet Kaur conducted the proceedings. College staff and students were present on the occasion.
