Obituary: Loss of a Matriarch; Bago Begum Passes Away in Rajouri
​RAJOURI/SURANKOTE — The Seer family and the wider community of Fazalabad, Surankote, are in deep mourning following the sad demise of Bago Begum, wife of the late Sh. Nizamuddin Seer. She breathed her last on the evening of April 7, 2026, at 8:40 PM.
​A Pillar of Strength and Wisdom
​Bago Begum was not just the eldest member of the Seer family but a towering figure of authority and respect within the entire kinship. Known for her immense grace and leadership, she was the primary decision-maker for the family, often resolving complex disputes and guiding her relatives through difficult times. Her word was highly regarded, and her "Rutba" (stature) remained unmatched throughout her life.
​She was the sister-in-law of Mohammad Rashid, Mohd Din, and Makhan Din Seer of Fazalabad, Surankote.
​Funeral Arrangements
​While originally from the prominent Seer family of Fazalabad (Poonch), she was currently residing in Kaller, Rajouri.
