A heartbreaking incident has come to light from the Saruali forest under Kamakhyanagar police station in Dhenkanal district.
Ankita Priyadarshini Barik, the 16-year-old daughter of Vijay Kumar Barik of Marthapur village under Bhuvan police station, a +2 first year student of Kamakhyanagar Women's College, went missing while returning home after completing her exams yesterday.
Later, it was reported that her body was recovered from the Saruali forest. According to the complaint, she was raped and brutally murdered.
This incident has shocked and angered the entire district.
