*Section 163 BNSS Implemented at SSC Examination Centres – District SP Smt. Sneha Mehra, IPS*

District Superintendent of Police Smt. Sneha Mehra, IPS, stated that stringent security arrangements have been made by the Police Department to ensure the peaceful conduct of the *SSC (10th Class) Public Examinations* scheduled to be held in the district from *March 14 to April 16. She informed that **Section 163 of BNSS (earlier Section 144 CrPC)* will be in force in the surrounding areas of all *69 examination centres* in the district from *8:30 AM to 1:30 PM* on the days of the examinations.

As per the orders, gathering of *more than five persons within a 200-metre radius* around the examination centres is prohibited. She also clarified that *meetings, assemblies, rallies, dharnas, or processions using microphones and DJ systems* will not be permitted near the examination centres. In order to maintain a peaceful atmosphere during the examinations, instructions have been issued to the concerned owners to *close internet centres, xerox shops, and stationery shops located near the examination centres* during the examination hours.

The SP further stated that *special police bandobast* will be deployed at each examination centre with police officers and staff to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations, and surveillance will be maintained on suspicious persons near the centres. She also made it clear that *mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, and other prohibited items* will not be allowed inside the examination centres. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone violating these rules.
