Dr. Amrit Sagar Mittal, Vice Chairman of the Sonalika ITL Group, shared his views at the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit held at Plaksha University, Mohali, describing the event as an important milestone in strengthening Punjab’s industrial ecosystem and attracting significant investments into the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mittal highly appreciated the progressive initiatives taken by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal, and particularly Punjab’s Minister for Industry, Commerce, Investment Promotion and Local Bodies, Sanjeev Arora, for creating a dynamic and business-friendly environment in the state. He said the government has adopted a forward-looking approach by rolling out the red carpet for investors and industrial leaders, which reflects its strong commitment to economic growth and industrial development.
Dr. Mittal remarked that the summit has opened new avenues for industries and has generated great confidence among investors who are keen to explore Punjab as a promising destination for expansion. He noted that the state government and the Industry Department are actively working to attract a huge amount of investment, which will further strengthen Punjab’s economy and create large-scale employment opportunities for the youth.
He especially acknowledged the efforts of Sanjeev Arora, stating that his proactive leadership and engagement with industrial stakeholders have played a key role in building trust within the business community. According to Dr. Mittal, the minister’s commitment to ease of doing business, transparent policies, and industry-friendly reforms is helping Punjab regain its position as a preferred destination for investment.
Dr. Mittal further said that the summit highlighted the indomitable entrepreneurial spirit of Punjabis, and initiatives like these will accelerate industrial growth while encouraging both large corporate houses and MSMEs to invest in the state.
The event witnessed the participation of several prominent industrialists and global business leaders, including steel magnate Lakshmi N. Mittal, JSW Steel Director Sajjan Jindal, and Hero Enterprise Chairman Sunil Kant Munjal, who shared their perspectives on the vast investment opportunities available in Punjab.
Dr. Mittal also appreciated Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Chairman of the Sun Foundation and Member of Parliament, along with other leading industry representatives and officials for their valuable role in promoting investment and strengthening the framework for ease of doing business in Punjab.
