MP's meeting with Union Finance Minister on RRB employees problems

New Delhi: Several Telangana MPs have specially met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitarama seeking to solve the long term promotion problems faced by RRB employees who are playing a crucial role in rural banking system.

Eetala Rajendar, Konda Visveswar Reddy, Madhavaneni Raghunandan Rao and Godam Nagesh participated in this meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, MPs said that lack of promotions in the career of RRB employees is damaging their enthusiasm for service. He explained that the stagnant employee growth is also having a serious impact on the performance of banking services in rural areas.

MPs have requested the Union Minister to make adequate amendments in HR policies before the end of the current financial year, keeping the welfare of employees in mind and to give highest priority to resolving the problem of promotions.

The team of MPs clarified that the welfare of RRB employees is of utmost importance for strengthening the rural economy.
