Cricketer Abhishek Sharma offers prayers at Vaishno Devi shrine

JAMMU: (Mar 14) Swashbuckling opener of the Indian T20 squad, Abhishek Sharma, on Friday paid obeisance at the Vaishno Devi cave shrine in Jammu and Kashmir’s Katra, days after the Men in Blue won the ICC T20 World Cup at home.

The top-ranked batter in the ICC T20 rankings, 25-year-old Sharma took to Instagram and shared pictures of his visit with the caption: “Jai Mata Di.”

In the photographs, Sharma can be seen standing on the pilgrimage route with folded hands and a tilak on his forehead, dressed in a traditional white kurta-pyjama.
