West Asia crisis: Indian missions coordinating with local govts to help stranded Indians

NEW DELHI: (Mar 12) Indian missions in West Asia are coordinating with the concerned governments to help Indian nationals stranded in the region due to airspace closures, a senior official said on Wednesday.

Indian nationals were assisted to go from Bahrain to Dammam and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia to help them take flights.

"Flight operations have continued to be ramped up in the United Arab Emirates, including a lot of non-scheduled commercial flights, and they have been able to cater to most people who were in transit," Aseem Mahajan, an additional secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), said.
