INTERNATIONAL EVENT “SHIELD OF THE AMERICAS – DORAL 2026”
The event brought together various political leaders from across the continent in an atmosphere of dialogue, cooperation, and strategic vision for the future of the region.
The event was organized by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, who shared the stage with political leaders at the presidential level and career international diplomats, creating a platform for the exchange of ideas on regional security, economic cooperation, and institutional strengthening among the nations of the hemisphere.
Among the main topics discussed were:

🔹 Cooperation to combat drug trafficking and organized crime
🔹 Strategies to address the migration crisis
🔹 Promotion of investment and economic cooperation with the United States
🔹 Analysis of the geopolitical landscape and China’s influence in Latin America
The meeting reflects an effort to strengthen political, economic, and security coordination between the United States and several Latin American governments. Several presidents from Latin America were present at the gathering:

During the event, Ambassador Dr. PhD Luis Suárez was also present and held meetings and conversations with several presidents, heads of state, and high-level representatives. Among the leaders with whom discussions were held were the President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, the President of Costa Rica, Rodrigo Chaves Robles, and the President of Panama, José Raúl Mulino, in addition to other heads of state and diplomatic representatives from different countries across the continent.
The discussions addressed various topics of regional interest, including cooperation in economic development, hemispheric security, strategic investment, and the strengthening of bilateral and multilateral relations among the participating countries.
