Terrorist Killed as Infiltration Bid Foiled in Nowshera; Hunt for Second Militant Underway

Rajouri, March 10: The Army on Tuesday said that one terrorist was killed after troops foiled an infiltration attempt in the Jhangar area of Nowshera sector in Rajouri district along the Line of Control (LoC).
According to the Army, the operation was launched after credible intelligence inputs suggested the movement of two terrorists in the Jhangar area of Nowshera along the LoC.
In a post on X, the Army’s White Knight Corps said that alert troops detected the suspicious movement at around 3:00 PM and swiftly engaged the infiltrators with calibrated combat action.
During the ensuing encounter, one Pakistan-sponsored terrorist was killed, successfully preventing any breach along the LoC.
The Army said that search operations are underway to track down the second terrorist who is believed to be hiding in the area. Additional troops have been deployed, and the operation is being supported by integrated ground and aerial surveillance.
Officials said the security forces continue to maintain a robust operational posture with heightened alertness across the sector.
