Review and Training for Census 2027 For the first time, the census will be conducted digitally.

Report by Nishapati Nayak (Sub-Editor): A review and training program for Census 2027 was held at the local council meeting hall, Koraput. The program was organized under the chairmanship of Koraput District Magistrate Manoj Satyawan Mahajan. Deputy Director of the State Census Directorate, Jayakrishna Bhoi, participated in the program and provided training to the officials present on the process of census, digital equipment, house listing and responsibilities. All the enumerators and supervisors will be trained by master trainers later.

District Magistrate Manoj Satyawan Mahajan said that the census will be conducted digitally for the first time. Self-enumeration facility is available from April 1 to 15. People can provide their data in English or Odia through the census website. The census will be conducted in two phases. The first phase, house listing and house enumeration, will be conducted from April 16 to May 15 this year. The population census will be conducted in February 2027. Enumerators will go door to door to collect data from people through a mobile app. District Collector Manoj Satyavan Mahajan has appealed to the district residents to provide accurate data to the enumerators and supervisors.

Additional District Collector Tapan Kumar Nayak, Jeypore Deputy District Collector A. Mullah Reddy, Officer-in-Charge for Koraput district K. Gunawardhana, along with all the tehsildars and urban officers of the district were present. HRMS Officer Sachidananda Samantraya participated and conducted the exercise.
