**WAF Constitutes Management Board*
The World Agriculture Forum (WAF) has constituted a 12-member Management Board to further strengthen its governance, and operational effectiveness. The Board is chaired by H.E. Dr. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, former President of Mauritius.
The newly constituted Management Board brings together globally respected leaders from agriculture, food systems, academia, development, and enterprise. The distinguished members include:
1. Ms. Ann Tutwiler – Chair, GAIN Board; former Director General, Bioversity International, Maryland, USA
2. Ms. Maria Helena Semedo – Former Deputy Director-General, FAO; former Minister, Cape Verde
3. Dr. Prabhu Pingali – Director, Tata-Cornell Institute for Agriculture and Nutrition, Cornell University, USA
4. Dr. D. S. Walia – Chairman & Managing Director, Arctic Inc., Virginia, USA
5. Ms. Ariana Cohen – Founder, AC Agro LLC, New York, USA
6. Dr. Sabine O’Hara – Dean, University of the District of Columbia
7. Mr. Mitchell London – Managing Director, Seascape, New Jersey, USA
8. Dr. Fayaz Khazi – Founder & CEO, The Traits Company, North Carolina, USA
9. Dr. Jimmy Smith – Director, University of Maryland, USA
10. Mr. Bill Niebur – President, Niebur Advisors, Iowa, USA
At its inaugural meeting, the Board deliberated on a 20-point strategic agenda aimed at accelerating WAF’s programs, partnerships, and global impact across food systems, agriculture, and sustainability. It approved the transition of Dr. MJ Khan from the current role as Board Advisor to the Executive Director, WAF.
