Aid Distributed to Elderly at Old Age Home on Late Lion Sham Lal Rana's Birth Anniversary

In a heartfelt tribute to his late father, Lion Sham Lal Rana, Lions Club Hoshiarpur Pearl Secretary Umesh Rana distributed essential aid items—including mufflers, caps, gloves, shawls, and food packets—to elderly residents at the old age home in Ram Colony Camp on his birth anniversary. A sapling was also planted in his memory.The event was attended by club president Vijay Arora, District Chairman (Eye Donation) and prominent social worker Sanjeev Arora, Harjeet Bhatia, Dr. Rajendra Gupta, Ashwani Kumar Datta, and H.K. Nakra.Addressing the gathering, Lion Umesh Rana highlighted that his father, the late Sham Lal Rana, served the Lions Club for 37 years in various capacities, playing a pioneering role in social service. He urged everyone to plant trees in memory of their elders, so future generations know these saplings are family legacies.President Vijay Arora and Lion Sanjeev Arora commended the noble initiative and appealed to other organizations to contribute similarly on joyous occasions—through tree plantation in elders' memory and aid to the needy. Emphasizing environmental conservation, Arora stated, "It is our collective duty; a clean environment ensures a healthy life for all."
