Malda Division conducts Digital Ticketing Awareness Drive at Malda Town Railway Station

To further advance the goals of Digital India Mission, under the Direction of Divisional Railway Manager, Shri Manish Kumar Gupta and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Shri Kartik Singh are conducting a Digital Ticketing Awareness Drive at various stations of Malda Division. As part of that ongoing initiative, a special awareness drive on Digital Ticketing was conducted at Malda Town Railway Station today through UTS on Mobile App.

In this program, Commercial Inspectors and Ticket Checking Staff interacted with the passengers and showed them the process of downloading, registering and booking tickets through UTS on Mobile App. Passengers were also helped to install the app directly on their mobile phones. Passengers are encouraged to use mobile ticketing for easy, paperless and hassle-free ticketing.

The main benefits highlighted in the awareness campaign are:

2. Relief from the hassle of standing in queues at ticket counters

3. Paperless, fast and hassle-free ticketing

4. Facility to book various types of tickets such as journey, platform and season tickets

5. Instant availability of digital tickets on mobile

This initiative of Malda Division is an important step to make passenger services more modern and accessible in line with the Digital India Mission .
