AMU Girls’ School Students Excel in State Taekwondo Championships

ALIGARH, December 12: Students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Girls’ School delivered outstanding performances in recent state-level Taekwondo competitions, securing top positions and earning opportunities at the national level.

Anshu (Class X-D) won the silver medal in the UP-State Taekwondo Championship organised by India Taekwondo at Green Park, Kanpur, on December 5. Competing in the Junior Girls U-55 kg category, she has also qualified for the National Federation Cup to be held in Jaipur.

Areeba Malik (Class IX-C) secured the gold medal in the Rajasthan State Taekwondo Championship 2025, held in Kota and organised by the Taekwondo Federation of India. She competed in the Cadet Girls U-55 kg category.

Principal of AMU Girls’ School, Mrs. Amna Malik, congratulated the students for their achievements and commended their dedication. She also appreciated the efforts of coach Ms. Shalini Chauhan and Games In-charge Mr. Mohammed Waseem Ahmed for their guidance and support.

The accomplishments come as part of the school’s broader participation in Fit India Week 2025.
