24th Edition of India International Mega Trade Fair (IIMTF) 2025 Kicks Off in Kolkata
Kolkata, Dec 6, 2025: The 24th edition of the India International Mega Trade Fair (IIMTF) 2025, the largest trade fair in Eastern India and the second‑largest in the country, began on 5 December and will run until 26 December 2025 at the Science City Ground. The 22‑day event was inaugurated by Shri Debasish Kumar, MLA & Member, Mayor‑in‑Council, Kolkata Municipal Corporation, along with Shri Rajesh Pandey, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of MSME & Textiles, Government of West Bengal.

Organised jointly by The Bengal Chamber and GS Marketing, the fair aims to position Kolkata as the preferred destination for trade and commerce. Gujarat and Rajasthan are the Partner States, while Afghanistan and Ghana are the Partner Countries. The Focus States for the event are Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, and the Focus Countries are Thailand and Tunisia.

This year’s fair will host around 1,000 stalls across segments such as food, clothing, furniture, interior, electronics, healthcare, cosmetics & lifestyle, and handicrafts. Over 17 foreign countries and nearly all Indian states are participating, expecting a footfall of 50,000–55,000 visitors per day. Last year, the fair featured 800 stalls with a similar daily turnout.

The event is expected to spur joint ventures, tie‑ups, and investments, with major B2B initiatives lined up alongside the exhibitions. Shri Debasish Kumar highlighted the fair’s role in reigniting business confidence in West Bengal, while Mr. Abhijit Roy, President of The Bengal Chamber, praised the platform for showcasing business synergies and enhancing B2B and B2C competitiveness in the state.
