Hyderabad Police Launches Massive ‘Operation Kavach’ for Citywide Security

Hyderabad City Police has launched “Operation Kavach”, a large-scale naka bandi exercise across the city to strengthen law and order. More than 5,000 police personnel have been deployed at 150 checkpoints.

Major areas covered include Charminar, Afzal Ganj, Naya Pul, Old City stretches, Bahadurpura, Ansari Road (near Idli Hotel), Falaknuma and surrounding zones, along with multiple other strategic points across Hyderabad.

Police teams are checking vehicles, verifying IDs, and monitoring suspicious movements to ensure public safety. Authorities urged citizens to cooperate with security checks and immediately report any suspicious activity by dialing 100.
