Patna: Nitish Kumar is set to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for a record 10th time today. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at Gandhi Maidan, Patna, in the presence of several senior national leaders.

According to sources, the new NDA government will include two Deputy Chief Ministers — Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha. Along with them, around 18 ministers from JD(U), BJP and other alliance parties are likely to take oath.

The NDA recently secured a landslide victory, winning 202 out of 243 seats in the Assembly elections, paving the way for Nitish Kumar’s return to office.

Security has been tightened in the capital ahead of the ceremony, with thousands of attendees expected.

The allocation of portfolios and the final list of ministers will be announced after the ceremony, marking the formal beginning of the new government’s term.
