US police officer who fatally struck Indian student Jaahnavi fired

A police officer in US' Seattle, who killed Indian student Jaahnavi Kandula in January 2023 when the vehicle he was driving struck her, has been fired. Kandula, who hailed from Andhra Pradesh, was struck while she was crossing a street and was thrown 100 feet in air. The police officer who had laughed following Kandula's passing was fired last year.
