Swiggy fined ₹35,000 for wrongly charging 103 delivery fee on order

The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Telangana's Ranga Reddy fined Swiggy nearly 35,000 for inflating delivery distance and overcharging a Hyderabad resident, TOI reported. The customer had a Swiggy One membership that allows free delivery within a specified distance. Swiggy allegedly increased the customer's order distance from 9.7 km to 14 km and charged him ₹103 for delivery.
