1st case of Mpox Clade 1b reported in Kerala; all you need to know

The first case of Mpox Clade 1b in Southeast Asia was reported in Kerala, by a 38-year-old returning from UAE. Mpox, an infectious disease causing fever, rashes, and muscle pain, has two clades, with Clade Ib now spreading in Africa. Virus spreads through close contact. PCR tests confirm diagnoses, and vaccination within four days of exposure can prevent infection.
