Maldah Uttar 76.03% while Maldah Dakshin 76.63%poll turnover

Only few scattered incidents overall the poll was in peaceful in Maldah Uttar and Maldah Dakshin constituency . As per information given Election Commission of India 76.03% poll was turnover at Maldah Uttar constituency while 76.63% poll have done at Maldah Dakshin constituency. All the candidates casting their votes in early morning. In J M S Hindi High School the Maldah Dakshin BJP candidate Sreerupa Mitra Chowdhury cast her own vote. At the same time Ex State Minister who is holding the post of Chairman of English Bazar Municipality &TMC leader Krishnendu Narayan Chowdhury enter the same polling station to cast his vote. Both are involved in talking clash and given slogan to each others. In ward no 18 English bazar Municipality former Trinomool Congress councilor Ashis kundu shouting as GO BACK slogan against BJP candidate Sreerupa Mitra Chowdhury . Some clashes was happen between Indian National Congress worker and Trinomool Congress worker in Sujapur. Later police taken control over the situation.
On the Maldah Uttar constituency villagers are boycott the poll & blocked the Habibpur-Malda main road for their few demands . In schedule time on 2 vote was happen. On duty police officer Partho Ghosh(Inspector in charge – Siliguri Police Station) talking with the protester and request them for casting their votes. But the protester refused his proposal . When polling party returned by the protection of police few protester thrown stones to the police Persons vehicles . Hitting by stone, police officer Partho Ghosh injured along with a lady constable also injured. They admitted nearby Bulbulchandi Rural Hospital. Bombing was two or three places in Ratua. But Overall the polling was happened peacefully.
