Loneliness isn't just for adults or teens as a GSUSA survey found nearly two-thirds of girls aged five to seven felt lonely, increasing to almost three-quarters among those aged 11 to 13. While reasons weren't explored, experts suggested parental isolation and screen time contribute. The US Surgeon General's 2023 report indicated a general decline in social connections.
