Cultural Celebration "Chirasakha He" Honors Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam

Kolkata, May 25, 2026 — Yesterday evening, the city witnessed a beautiful tribute to two of Bengal's greatest literary and musical icons, Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam. The cultural event, titled "Chirasakha He", organized by the group 'Colors', was held at the Mahajati Sadan Annex.
​The program, which ran from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, celebrated the Rabindra-Nazrul Jayanti, honoring the enduring legacy of the two legendary figures. The evening was a rich tapestry of performances, showcasing the deep cultural appreciation for the works of both poets.
​The event featured a diverse array of segments:
​Recitation (Pathe): The audience was treated to poignant recitations by Keya, Sanjay, and Dipanjana.
​Music (Gane): The musical segment saw heartfelt performances by Rupashree, Jayashree, and Arundhati.
​Dance (Nritye): The program included captivating dance performances by Rimashree, Hiya, Titas, and Lipika.
​The musical direction for the event was helmed by Rana Bhattacharya, while the entire conceptualization and arrangement of the program were credited to Kalyani.
​The successful event brought together art enthusiasts to pay homage to the profound influence of Tagore and Nazrul on Bengali culture, leaving the audience enriched by an evening of soulful music, dance, and literature.
