A grand Mahasangha Dana ceremony was organized on Monday at the Thai Wat Pa Buddhist Monastery in Bodh Gaya, filling the sacred premises with profound spiritual energy. The event drew nearly 1,000 monks and lamas from various countries and different Buddhist monasteries.

Led by Thailand’s senior monk Luang Por Chai, the gathering of monks collectively chanted prayers for world peace, human welfare, and the universal message of compassion. Their resonant chants and disciplined observance of Buddhist rituals created a serene and dignified atmosphere throughout the monastery complex.

The significant international event was held under the aegis of the International Monastic Ordination Project of Thailand. Among the distinguished guests were General Arthit Fornson, founder of the Kamalang-ek Foundation, and Venerable Praput Buddhipalo, founder of Monastery Chiangmai and the Thailand Buddhist Foundation. Both dignitaries highlighted the importance of Sangha Dana in Buddhist tradition, stating that compassion, peace, and generosity remain the greatest forces that unite humanity.

During the ceremony, monks jointly performed meditation, prayers, and traditional rituals, symbolizing harmony and spiritual solidarity. A large number of local devotees were also present to receive blessings and witness the rare spiritual gathering.

Organizers said that the primary objective of the Mahasangha Dana was to strengthen unity within the international Buddhist community and promote the global message of peace, compassion, and goodwill.
