
Over One Thousand Monks and Devotees Benefit from Ayurvedic Herbal Decoction at Kalachakra Maidan
• Service camps for domestic and international participants become center of attraction
Bodhgaya: The ongoing 10-day 20th International Tripitaka Chanting Ceremony continues to witness large-scale service activities organized by various groups for monks and devotees arriving from India and abroad. At the service camp set up at Kalachakra Maidan on Sunday, over one thousand Buddhist monks and followers availed the benefit of meals along with an Ayurvedic herbal decoction prepared by the Swami Santoshanand Yoga and Ayurvedic Research Institute.
The camp, jointly organized by the Swami Santoshanand Yoga & Ayurvedic Research Institute and the Thai Magadh Vipassana Centre, Bodhgaya, is serving special Ayurvedic decoction along with daily meals from December 2 to December 12.
Yoga guru Swami Dr. Santoshanand informed that the herbal preparation has shown immediate benefits for ailments such as diabetes, blood purification, skin diseases, eye disorders and heart-related problems. Participants from more than 22 countries praised the service arrangements, stating that the joint efforts of Hindu saints and Buddhist monks on the sacred land of Bodhgaya send a global message of harmony and cooperation.
Several monks shared their experiences, saying that the camp not only helped relieve their health-related issues but also strengthened their trust in Indian Ayurveda. On this occasion, International Tripitaka Chanting Director Wangmo Dixey felicitated Dr. Swami Santoshanand for his distinguished service.
International delegates present at the venue, including Dr. suthap akinchano, described the initiative as a reflection of Bodhgaya’s glorious tradition and its commitment to serving humanity.
