Tata Steel received three honors from the Indian Value Engineering Society.

Tata Steel received three prestigious Value Engineering awards from the Indian Value Engineering Society (INVEST) during the 40th International Value Engineering Conference, which took place on November 15 and 16 in Bhubaneshwar. Tata Steel's Engineering & Projects has received three prizes in the Technical Category four years in a row.

These include the Muthiah Kasi Award for "Value study on optimization of In-bound Logistic of Finished Good (FG) Coil at Exit area in Hot Rolled Pickling & Galvanizing Line (HRPGL) Project" . This award is granted for excellent implementation of the Customer Oriented Function Analysis System Technique (FAST) Diagram, as well as demonstrating how Functions, specifically the FAST diagram, have helped to solve problems and/or lead to innovative solutions/innovation. The second award is the KSRM Sastry Award for "Value Study for Capex Optimization for Vehicle Under Pass (VUP) of Runway End Safety Area (RESA) at Sonari Airport, Jamshedpur." This award is granted for the successful use of 'Function and Creativity' to achieve the greatest potential results. Surya Prakash Prabhaker (Facilitator), Raj Kumar Jha (Team Leader & Author), Subrata Mahata (Member), Debranjan Sar (Member & Co-author), Swaraj Kumar Biswas (Member), Kishore Kumar (Member), Reepak Gupta (Member), Dayanand Pathak (Member), and Sanjay Birua (Member) were all members of the Engineering & Projects team.

The Mohta Award for "Value Optimization of Overland Conveying System (OLCS) at Noamundi Iron Ore Mines" comes in third place. The prize is granted to the finest Value Engineering Case Study in India that demonstrates a methodical implementation of the Value Engineering Six Phase Job Plan that was finished during the previous fiscal year. Among the team members were Saumen Porel (Member), Hemant Kumar Parashar (Member), Deepon Roy (Member), Nihal Kumar Choudhary (Member & Co-Author), Manish Kumar Pandey (Member), Shailesh Kumar (Member), Pinakesh Sarkar (Team Leader & Author), Surya Prakash Prabhaker (Facilitator), and Engineering & Projects.
