Have requested increase of NRI quota in medical courses: Karnataka Minister

Karnataka's Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil stated that the state has requested the Centre to increase the NRI quota for medical education courses. While no formal application has been submitted yet, a decision is expected soon. This follows the Supreme Court's ruling against Punjab's expansion of the NRI quota in undergraduate medical admissions.
